The young dog noticed the baby seal with its head poking out the water and the baby seal bobbed up to say hello too! ♥

Olympia has a white lanugo coat, an indication that she was born prematurely. Tim Lebling, ASLC Stranding Coordinator, stated, “It is likely that Olympia was abandoned by her mother, as we commonly find that seals abandon their premature pups.” Olympia is currently in “good but guarded” condition, and will be cared for until she can be released back into the wild. She ASLC’s first stranded Seal in 2012. (via zooborns)

An opened-mouthed fur seal with gentoo penguins, Stromness, South Georgia Island
Russian photographer Sergey Kokinskiy seems to get quite a reaction from the wildlife he shoots. Sergey began photography as a hobby after travelling widely. He soon began to notice a theme in the images he captured. “Many of the subjects of my photos could have recognisable human emotions transferred onto them: love, envy, hatred, greed, malice, cunning, compassion, and more,” he says.

The sea lion came from a bay, went through a residential area, across roads, under a gate, through a cat door, up some stairs, and onto a couch where it cuddled up and tried to sleep.
“I thought ‘I’m hallucinating, this is just wrong,” sad Annette Swoffer, the woman who owns the house. She called the SPCA and they brought the sea lion back to the water.
